RSS feeds allow you to see when we have updated the Essex
Police website with new content.
You can get all the latest news from the county in one place, as
soon as it is published on our website.
You can also see when we update the site with police staff job
vacancies.
Getting set up – finding
a reader
The first thing you need is a news reader. This is a piece of
software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles
that have been added.
There are many different versions, some of which are accessed
using a browser (this will let you catch up with your RSS feed
subscriptions from any computer) and some of which are downloadable
applications (which are store them on your main computer).
Getting set up – Choosing a feed
We have two different news feeds: 'News and Features' and
'Jobs'. You can subscribe to these feeds using the links on
the left.
You can subscribe to these feeds by selecting
the button for the feed you would like to sign up to.
Using Essex Police feeds on your site
Essex Police provides these feeds as a free service. If you
intend including any of these feeds on your own website, please
maintain a link back to us, titled Essex Police and link it to
