Second man dies following collision in Southend
A second man has sadly died following a collision between a
moped and motorbike in Southend.

A red Vesper moped struck a blue Yamaha motorbike at the
junction of The Candlemakers and Journeymans Way just
before 9.30pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012.
The moped rider, 55-year-old Anthony Pendrey of Sutton Road in
Southend, was certified dead at the scene.
The motorcycle rider, 22-year-old Michael Denley of Coombes
Grove in Rochford, sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the
Royal London Hospital where sadly he died on the afternoon of
Saturday, August 18, 2012.
His pillion passenger, a 20-year-old man also from the
Rayleigh area, also received serious injuries.
A section of the road was closed for about six hours while forensic
collision investigators carried out their enquiries and debris was
cleared from the road.
