Special Constable recruitment and information events

Essex Police is holding two Special Constable recruitment and information events this month.

Events will be held on *Friday, August 12, 2011 at 7.30pm and Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 9.30am at the Training College at Essex Police Headquarters in  Kingston Avenue, Springfield, Chelmsford.

*Update - There are no spaces left for the event on Friday.

The role of a Special Constable is a voluntary one which means there is no payment other than travel expenses. Special Constables must also be able to commit to at least 16 hours per month.

Places at the recruitment and information events are limited and must be booked.

If you are interested in attending, please contact the Support Co-ordinator on 07715 771091 between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am and 2.00pm on Friday to reserve a place.

As places are limited, we ask that you do not bring guests.

Vacancies are open to both internal and external applicants over the age of 17 years and 9 months. However, please note that you must be 18 years old before starting training.
