Witness appeal

The incident happened shortly before 1am on Wednesday April 4, 2012 in the area of Leicester Road and Dunlop Road.

Members of the public describe hearing sounds of a struggle and an unidentified man then pushing the woman into a dark coloured car, possibly a saloon.

The woman is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, wearing a red jacket, with shoulder length hair.

Ds Natalia Ross said: “Essex Police is keen to speak to this woman, and to ensure that she is safe and unharmed. Officers conducted extensive checks and searches through the night, but we have not been able to establish her identity.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has a female friend or relative who went missing overnight, to contact CID in Thurrock on 101.”
