Police take part in security event at Lakeside Shoping Centre
Essex Police joined forces with Lakeside Shopping Centre’s
security team, Essex Air Ambulance, the Territorial Army and St
John’s Ambulance to give shoppers security advice.

On Friday, March 23, 2012 the Lakeside policing team were
joined by the Essex Police Marine Unit, the Motorcycle Unit and
other agencies to inform shoppers about what each team do, and to
offer valuable personal security advice and health advice.
Sgt Chris Hay, who leads the Lakeside policing team, said:
"Every day we work with the security team at Lakeside Shopping
Centre to ensure that it remains a safe and enjoyable place to
visit.
"Because of the large number of people that pass through here
everyday, it is a great place for us to tell people how to better
protect themselves and their property to ensure they do not fall
foul of criminals across Essex.”
