Brave sergeant takes to sky to raise money for charity
A brave sergeant took to the sky to raise money for a charity
very close to her heart.
Sgt Kirste Snellgrove
donned a pink tutu to do a wingwalk on a byplane to raise funds for
Breast Cancer Campaign, a charity which funds research into the
causes, development and treatment of breast cancer.
Sgt Snellgrove, who is based at Essex Police College in Chelmsford,
was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.
Since then, despite also being diagnosed with lung cancer, she has
organised various fundraising events and recently ran the London
Marathon.
Having completed 17 marathons and several triathlons, the
courageous Sgt is not one to shy away from a challenge. So when she
mentioned to friend Natalie Watkins, a trainer at Essex Police
College, that she'd like to do a wingwalk Natalie wasted no
time in making the necessary arrangements.
If you would like to donate to Kirste's charity efforts, you can do
