Boy has motorcycle seized
A thirteen-year-old boy who has been riding a motorcycle
and causing a nuisance to neighbours has had his motorcycle
seized.
During the past fortnight, police have received numerous reports
from the public about a nuisance motorcycle being ridden around the
Avenues, Waterside Farm Sports Centre and Winter Gardens areas.
As officers went to speak with to the rider about his behaviour,
he was seen riding his motorbike without a safety helmet. He failed
to stop for officers at the time and rode off.
Through information received from local residents, police were
able to identify the 13-year-old rider and officers later attended
the youth’s home address where the motorcycle was seized and the
rider was reported for traffic offences.

Canvey neighbourhood policing team are dealing with people using
motorbikes anti-socially as a priority.
Local neighbourhood specialist officer, Pc Paul Ross, said: "All
offenders will be dealt with to the full extent of the law, which
includes a court appearance and their vehicles being seized in
certain circumstances. We would like to thank the public for their
assistance and encourage them to continue to call the police
whenever they see a motorcycle being used illegally.”
