Two charged over serious road collision
A 17-year-old girl and 20-year-old man have been charged in
connection with a crash which left a cyclist seriously injured.
They were charged with wounding with intent, aggravated vehicle
taking and dangerous driving when they answered bail on Thursday,
August 26.
The 34-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a collision
involving a transit van on Station Lane in Ingatestone on
February 28 but is now recovering at home.
The girl and man, who have not been named, will appear at Grays
Magistrates Court on September 9. The man also faces charges of
using a vehicle without insurance and failing to give information
about a driver's identity.
No action was taken against a 43-year-old man, a 43-year-old
woman and a 29-year-old man previously arrested.
