Arrest following handbag snatches in Chelmsford
Police investigating two handbag snatches in
Chelmsford which left women needing hospital treatment have
arrested a man.
A 21-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at the bus
station in Duke Street, Chelmsford on Sunday, August 15.
The bag snatches happened at 9am and 10am on Saturday, August 7 in
the area of Central Park and New Writtle Street.
The man has been released on bail until September 27, 2010 while
officers conduct enquiries.
