Antique figurines stolen in burglary

Police have released images of several antique figurines which were stolen in a burglary on July 12.

Thirty full-size Royal Doulton figurines were stolen from a property in Kelvedon Road, Inworth, between 10am and 3pm.

A 42-inch TV, some alcohol and a black Mitsubishi vehicle parked outside were also stolen. It is believed the suspect stole the keys from inside the house. The total value of items taken is approximately £25,000.

Dc Steve King said: “These figurines were of great sentimental value so we’re hoping that someone may recognise them.
"We believe the suspect may try and sell them on to an antiques dealer so we’re asking dealers to be vigilant when they take on items.”

The most valuable of the items include Jennifer Figure of the Year 1994 and Deborah Figure of the Year 1995 (both pictured). Both had been signed by Michael Doulton.

If you have seen any of the items pictured please contact Dc Steve King at Colchester police station on 0300 333 4444.
