District Commander update
I have taken over the role of District Commander for Uttlesford
and Braintree districts and am very proud to have the opportunity
to serve the public of both areas.

Chief
Inspector Nick Lee
The Uttlesford and Braintree districts are low crime areas
compared to other similar areas in the country. This is great news
but it’s not a reason to become complacent. I will work with the
whole community and the Community Safety Partnership to keep things
this way and make the area even safer for us all.
My priorities are reducing serious crime such as house
burglaries and violent assaults that seriously affect people’s
lives. I intend to do this my focusing on the small number of
offenders in our communities that are responsible for a large
amount of offences.
I will also target anti-social behaviour especially where it
causes significant disruption to the community. I would welcome
your support in the fight against crime and anti-social behaviour.
You can do this by joining Neighbourhood Watch, becoming a Special
Constable or calling us and passing on any information you might
have.
Your policing team and I are working hard to improve the service
we deliver to you. Policing is a difficult and complex job and like
other walks of life we sometimes do not get things right. If
you are concerned about the quality of service you have received
from us or have any suggestions on how we can improve please
contact me or my team at Braintree police station.
Defeating criminals is too important to be left to the police
alone and I would like the whole community to join me.
