District Commander update

I am Chief Inspector Cat Barrie and I am delighted to be the District Commander for Tendring. 

I joined Essex Police in 2001 and have undertaken a number of roles in Clacton, Colchester, Boreham, Dunmow, South Woodham Ferrers and headquarters. I have worked on response teams, neighbourhood policing teams, in custody, in probationer training units and on roads policing.  Following a period as Staff Officer to the Chief Constable my most recent posting was back to Tendring where I undertook the Community Safety Partnership Unit role.

I am passionate about Neighbourhood Policing and am delighted to be back to Clacton which was my first posting as a Probationer and to continue working with many friendly and familiar faces.

I am committed to building on the strong foundations that have already been forged with our partners and community and to seek new ways in which to make Tendring a safer place to live and visit whilst reducing crime and anti social behaviour.
