Police and Crime Plan

The Police and Crime Plan outlines the Police and Crime
Commissioner's ambition in bringing together the police and wider
partners more effectively to reduce crime, improve community safety
and support victims of crime across Essex.
It is the first Police and Crime Plan prepared by a Police and
Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Essex and builds upon previous
Policing Plans jointly prepared by Essex Police and Essex Police
Authority.
The Plan focuses on the issues including domestic abuse and
alcohol, drugs and re-offending which drive so much crime including
anti-social behaviour, violent crime and burglary. It also focuses
on the approaches that will deliver effective crime reduction and
fewer casualties on our roads.
Nick Alston, Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, said: “The
Police and Crime Plan sets out key areas of focus for Essex Police
and partner organisations. Our shared aim is to reduce crime
so that there are fewer victims of crime in our county.”
